EWC obtains DoE permit to build LNG facility in Philippines
Energy World Corporation has been developing LNG projects in Indonesia and the Philippines.

The permit was granted in end-December 2018 and allows the company an additional 24-month construction period, for aligning the completion date of its first LNG storage tank the commercial operation date of the associated 650 MW power plant.

The permit will also provide time for aligning the NGPC switchyard expansion under construction and for the construction of the second LNG tank.

The 650 MW has been recognized as the anchor off-taker of the Pagbilao LNG project which consists of two 130,000-cbm LNG tanks, a dedicated jetty and marine infrastructure as well as regasification and other ancillary facilities.
