Cheniere starts LNG production from Corpus Christi Plant
The first train of the Corpus Christi is expected to have an annual production capacity of 4.5 MTPA and will also include two more trains in later phases with same capacity.

The liquefaction and export terminal would source Permian and Eagle Ford shale-derived natural gas via pipelines for the project.

Corpus Christi will be Cheniere’s second LNG liquefaction and export terminal in addition to the Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana, and the third overall in the US. The plant was constructed at an investment of $15 billion.

There will be an event marking the occasion at the port of Corpus Christi on Nov. 15 which would also see the departure of the first cargo from the newly commissioned facility.
